Context and Design Intent
Create an appealing, safe bedroom that helps the five-year-old child transition to independent sleep while supporting play, reading, homework and crafts. Use adaptable furniture and service locations so the room can mature through the school years without major renovation.

Non-Negotiables
BR2-NN-001 — Agreed: Do not install a built-in study desk at this stage. Retain and use the existing movable square table for now so the study zone can change as the child grows.
BR2-NN-003 — Provide a wardrobe, ceiling fan, air-conditioning, suitable lighting, power and a wired network connection.
BR2-NN-005 — Provide a safe sleeping layout and child-safety measures: securely anchor tall furniture, restrict or lock the window appropriately, keep climbable furniture away from the window, protect sockets appropriately and avoid sharp corners on fixed carpentry where practical.
BR2-NN-006 — Provide blackout curtains and insect screening at the window, coordinated with window opening, cleaning and safety hardware.
BR2-NN-007 — Preserve ample usable floor space for play, puzzles, dancing and a possible temporary parent mattress during the transition to independent sleep. The mattress is temporary, not a permanent second bed.
BR2-NN-008 — Provide both soft, dimmable mood lighting and suitable task lighting for study, reading, drawing and crafts. Controls and fittings must remain practical as the furniture layout changes.
BR2-NN-009 — Provide power at the study zone and near the bed, plus one wired network point at or conveniently beside the future study zone. No television or game-console provision is required.
BR2-NN-010 — Use durable, easy-to-clean finishes. Avoid carpet, large rugs, excessive open shelving and dust-trapping details; support reasonable robot-vacuum access.

BR2-SP-004 — Keep furniture and the layout flexible for future needs, including more serious study, hobbies, storage and privacy through the teenage years.
BR2-SP-011 — Use a balance of closed storage for visual calm and accessible open storage for selected books, toys and display items.
BR2-SP-012 — Make permanent finishes neutral and long-lived; express the child's current personality through replaceable artwork, bedding, lamps and accessories.
BR2-SP-013 — Use fan-first cooling where comfortable while retaining air-conditioning. Coordinate fan sweep, AC throw, bed and study positions to avoid uncomfortable draughts.
BR2-SP-014 — Make the room feel safe, warm and appealing enough to encourage independent sleeping, without undermining its future conversion to a teenager's room.
BR2-SP-030 — Agreed: Use a cohesive Boori-style children's furniture suite for the bed, wardrobe and freestanding display storage. Select pieces that preserve safe circulation and a practical later transition as the child grows.
BR2-SP-031 — Agreed: Retain the rocketship lamp as a decorative light, not a sleep night light, with a suitably located bedside socket and convenient switching.

BR2-DO-021 — Select the exact Boori children's bed model and size after comparing the available options against mattress life, safe access, floor-play area and the future room layout. The Boori direction is jointly agreed; only the product selection remains outstanding.

BR2-PI-016 — Provide a fixed wall whiteboard for homework planning, subject to agreeing its size, material and location without reducing future layout flexibility.
BR2-PI-017 — Provide a changeable artwork-display feature using a rail, ledge, pinboard or other low-damage system proposed by the ID.

BR2-SF-019 — Require at least two dimensioned layouts: an immediate young-child arrangement and a later school-age arrangement. Both must demonstrate the selected bed, wardrobe, movable desk, storage, floor-play area, circulation, window safety, fan, AC, lighting, power and network provisions.
BR2-SF-020 — Confirm furniture dimensions, anchoring methods and safe clearances before purchase or installation. Freestanding furniture must remain safely secured even if selected for future adaptability.
