The owner brief is aligned. These remaining items require interior-designer input, specialist confirmation, measurements or later selections; they do not reopen the completed brainstorm and merge.
Context and Design Intent
Provide a comfortable, open dining area for the three-person household and for hosting up to eight seated guests without reproducing the cramped feel of the existing home. Coordinate the table, circulation, serving, water-dispenser station, airflow, lighting and adjoining Living, Kitchen and WC2 features as one measured layout.
This is the authoritative merged requirements record for the Dining area. It preserves agreed requirements, attributed owner positions, existing cross-area decisions and unresolved choices from Fahmi's and Yasmin's independent brainstorms without selecting between differing preferences.
Non-Negotiables
DIN-NN-001 — Agreed: Provide space for at least a six-seater rectangular dining table in its normal configuration and make seating eight people comfortable without cramped everyday circulation.
DIN-NN-005 — Agreed: Use individual dining chairs rather than bench seating.
DIN-NN-006 — Agreed: Locate the Dining area adjacent to the Kitchen entrance for convenient serving movement.
DIN-NN-007 — Agreed: Provide a plumbed-water-dispenser station near the kitchen entrance and Dining area, with power, permanent clean-water supply and wastewater drainage. Coordinate Yasmin's proposed combined coffee function and cup/tableware storage with the Kitchen master.
DIN-NN-008 — Agreed: Preserve clear, barrier-free circulation and robot-vacuum movement around the Dining area and toward the adjoining Living, Kitchen and Balcony routes.
Strongly Preferred
DIN-SP-003 — Coordinate the table and chairs with measured circulation, lighting, power, charging, airflow, AC, serving and any nearby carpentry before design freeze.
DIN-SP-009 — Agreed: Provide generous everyday clearance around the table and general accessibility. Temporary circulation reduction is acceptable only for an occasional extended-table arrangement if that option is jointly selected.
DIN-SP-010 — Agreed: Keep the combined Living/Dining zone visually open and spacious, while the exact degree of visual continuity remains under LIV-DO-026.
DIN-SP-011 — Agreed: Do not position a fan directly over the dining table. Provide useful air circulation and coordinate it with the two AC blowers serving the combined Living/Dining zone.
DIN-SP-014 — Agreed: Use the same or visually continuous easy-clean flooring as the Living area, subject to the final joint decision under LIV-DO-026 on whether the two zones read as fully continuous or subtly distinct.
DIN-SP-034 — Agreed: Retain and reuse the existing dining table and chairs initially. Measure and inspect them for the planned layout; a later upgrade or replacement remains permissible without committing now to a fixed or extendable future model.
DIN-SP-035 — Agreed: Support multi-use dining-table activities including meals, homework, household administration, colouring, painting, crafts and occasional overflow work. Coordinate robust easy-clean finishes and bright, dimmable or separately controlled lighting for these uses.
DIN-SP-036 — Agreed: Use the dry pantry planned adjacent to the Dining table to perform the useful sideboard functions, including dining-related storage, serving space and convenient charging. Do not add a separate Dining sideboard, buffet or display cabinet unless a later demonstrated need is jointly approved.
Decisions Outstanding
DIN-DO-020 — Finalise the combined coffee/water station design, tableware storage and exact coffee-machine position. The Kitchen master currently records the coffee machine in agreed powered concealed storage under KIT-YP-027, while Yasmin's Dining brainstorm places the coffee function at the combined station; resolve this cross-area detail before carpentry and services are fixed.
DIN-DO-021 — Finalise whether the Living and Dining zones read as fully unified or subtly distinct through the coordinated decision already recorded under LIV-DO-026.
DIN-DO-022 — Coordinate the Dining feature wall with the agreed seamless flush or hidden WC2 external-passage door under KIT-YP-028 and the WC2 master, without compromising access or making the door visually prominent.

No separate Dining sideboard, buffet or display cabinet is required, as recorded under DIN-SP-036 and coordinated with the Kitchen master.
DIN-DIFF-004 — Vacuum-location clarification: Resolved 23 August 2026. Yasmin was referring to a handheld or stick vacuum such as a Dyson V12, not the robot vacuum. Store and charge the handheld vacuum in the integrated foyer/shoe cabinet under FOY-SP-033. The robot-vacuum dock remains in the Service balcony under SVC-NN-005.

DIN-P-002 — Fahmi: Consider a future extendable rectangular table that can reach approximately 10–12 seats if measured layout testing shows that occasional temporary circulation reduction remains acceptable.
DIN-P-015 — Fahmi: Consider a future air purifier with accessible power and adequate operating clearance.
Subject to Feasibility
DIN-SF-016 — Demonstrate dimensioned layouts for six and eight seats using the actual combined Living/Dining footprint, required circulation, high-chair allowance, AC and fan clearances, Kitchen serving route, Balcony airflow and the coffee/water station.
DIN-SF-017 — Measure and inspect the existing table and chairs and demonstrate that they can satisfy the agreed everyday and hosting layout before other furniture or carpentry is fixed.

DIN-FP-026 — For a future table selection, avoid wood and prefer rounded corners; retain flexibility in nearby walls and carpentry for hosting. Use stain-resistant, easy-clean and low-maintenance flooring and wipe-clean chair materials, and allow for a high chair.

DIN-YP-027 — Make the Dining and Living zones read as one fully unified continuous space with the same flooring and no visual or spatial distinction.
