Context and Design Intent

  • Provide a comfortable everyday dining space that can host guests without crowding circulation.
  • This file is the authoritative requirements record for this area. The initial draft extracts known points from 10 - Requirements/00 - Renovation Discussion Summary.md; later merges must follow 02 - AI Collaboration Rules.md.

Non-Negotiables

  • DIN-NN-001 — Provide space for at least a six-seater dining table.

Strongly Preferred

  • DIN-SP-003 — Coordinate dining furniture with lighting, power, charging and circulation.
Detailed requirements and coordination

Provisional Ideas

  • DIN-P-002 — Consider an extendable dining table, subject to available space.
  • DIN-P-004 — Consider nearby concealed charging and standing-vacuum storage if it does not compromise dining use.

Questions for the Interior Designer

  • How many people dine here daily and what is the maximum hosting size?
  • Is the table also used for homework, work or food preparation?
  • What serving, display or tableware storage is needed nearby?

Whole-Home Coordination

  • Refer to 10 - Requirements/01 - Whole-Home Systems Requirements.md for shared electrical, network, plumbing, AC, accessibility and service-access requirements.
