Create a calm, uncluttered room for sleep, dressing and prayer. Plan around the existing king-size bed, preserve generous bedside circulation, support a future cot without permanent baby-specific carpentry, and coordinate blackout, acoustics, cooling and condenser maintenance access before fixed works.

Non-Negotiables
MBR-NN-001 — Provide dedicated jewellery storage within the wardrobe, including a mix of secure and display storage, a concealed safe or lockable compartment, shelf storage for bags and provision for dust bags. Do not allocate bedroom storage for shoes.
MBR-NN-003 — Provide internal wardrobe lighting, a ceiling fan, suitable bedside and equipment power, and effective air-conditioning.
MBR-NN-006 — Reuse the existing king-size bed and maintain comfortable access along both sides. No wardrobe edge, built-in or other fixed furniture may encroach on the bedside clearance needed for circulation and bedsheet changes.
MBR-NN-007 — Achieve a pitch-dark sleeping environment using a properly overlapped blackout treatment that prevents light leakage at the centre, sides and top. Any motorisation must use child-safe controls and retain practical manual operation.
MBR-NN-008 — Provide soft, indirect lighting at the bedhead that does not shine into occupants' eyes, plus brighter lighting for dressing, cleaning and maintenance. Provide internal wardrobe lighting that can be disabled when automatic activation is unwanted.
MBR-NN-009 — Provide a full-length dressing mirror, a small makeup position with a face-level mirror and suitable task lighting, and a convenient hook or hanging point for a prayer garment.
MBR-NN-010 — Provide insect screens to operable bedroom windows, coordinated so they do not obstruct required access, opening, cleaning or maintenance.
MBR-NN-011 — Use tiled or another jointly approved water-tolerant flooring; do not use vinyl. Avoid fitted carpet and unnecessary rugs.
MBR-NN-030 — Agreed: Keep the condenser-access window openable and unobstructed because it is the only condenser-maintenance route. Do not permanently seal it; coordinate acoustic and blackout treatment around continued safe access.
MBR-NN-031 — Agreed: Permanently reserve clear floor space sufficient for two people to pray together.

MBR-SP-002 — Avoid unnecessary built-in furniture and preserve an airy, minimal atmosphere with comfortable circulation and visually light furniture profiles.
MBR-SP-004 — Use movable bedside tables rather than fixed bedside carpentry. Coordinate wall-level charging and ordinary mains sockets at both sides of the bed; USB-C may supplement but not replace ordinary sockets.
MBR-SP-012 — Provide layered warm, dimmable lighting with straightforward local controls reachable from both sides of the bed. Smart controls may supplement, but must not replace, reliable basic operation.
MBR-SP-013 — Locate and size the ceiling fan to provide useful airflow over the bed without an integrated light where practical. Coordinate the fan, AC blower, bed and future cot so neither cooling system creates an uncomfortable draft.
MBR-SP-014 — Make the room as quiet as reasonably practical. Assess road noise, condenser noise and vibration, window acoustics and junction sealing as one coordinated proposal.
MBR-SP-015 — Retain flexible space for a future cot and a temporary changing surface without installing permanent baby-specific carpentry. Restore this space to circulation or prayer use when no longer needed.
MBR-SP-016 — Design the main-bedroom wardrobe for hijabs, daily and intimate wear, folded clothes, bags, valuables and prayer items. Workwear, abayas and formal clothing will be stored in the Bedroom 3 wardrobe; do not assume luggage storage is required here.
MBR-SP-032 — Agreed: Retain the existing Google Nest smart speaker in the main bedroom and provide a suitable powered position without compromising clear surfaces or circulation.

MBR-PI-017 — Fahmi strongly prefers a motorised blackout curtain integrated with Home Assistant, provided the selected system achieves full blackout and retains dependable local and manual control.
MBR-PI-018 — Fahmi may later provide an air purifier or dehumidifier. Reserve only sensible power and operating clearance unless a selected model establishes a drainage need.

MBR-SF-019 — Confirm the achievable acoustic performance of the condenser-facing window assembly and any associated wall or vibration treatment through the ID and AC specialist. The solution must remain maintainable and must not create heat, ventilation or safety problems.
MBR-SF-020 — Confirm the full external bed-frame dimensions, wardrobe elevations, storage allocation, prayer clearance and future-cot arrangement in a dimensioned layout before carpentry approval.
MBR-SF-021 — Validate motorised curtain track geometry, overlap, edge returns, electrical provision, child safety, stopping behaviour and manual override before ordering.
